The scale allows for constant control of additions and losses honey in the hive. On this basis, we can draw conclusions about what is happening in the apiary, e.g. how the bees use the forage, what is the consumption of food supplies. Apiary scales do not bind the customer to the operator of any GSM network. To start the scale, a simple SIM card (prepaid) is needed. The customer decides on the amount to top up the card or a possible subscription. Each scale is encrypted with a 5-digit PIN code. After disconnecting the power supply, it will request the entry of this code

The low construction of the Optima hive scale makes it almost invisible to bystanders. The galvanized steel construction guarantees long use of the apiary scale and its resistance to weather conditions

Thanks to the battery power supply, the beekeeper is independent of access to electricity, which is of great importance when placing the scale under the hive in the apiary. The operating time of the scale has been estimated at several months, up to 4 or more - depending on the quality of the batteries

The report on the measurements of the hive weight is sent automatically once a day to the provided phone number in a text message. The choice of the GSM network operator is up to the customer. A regular SIM card is enough to start the scale - the customer decides on the top-up amount or a possible subscription

The Optima scale is equipped with an automatic anti-theft sensor - if the hive is knocked over or removed from the scale, an SMS with the content "MASS LOSS" will be immediately sent informing that something bad happened to the hive
