Cast iron grill plates
Double-sided heavy cast iron plates with a matte porcelain coating to match your grill. The ribbed surface of the cast iron plate resembling a frying pan on one side is great for grilling meats and vegetables, while the smooth surface on the other is ideal for preparing delicate fish, seafood or eggs. It is placed in place of the grates of a gas grill. Due to its large mass, it maintains temperature fantastically, heats up quickly and evenly and transfers it to the grilled food. Cast iron plates should be coated with oil for preservation and to prevent grilled food from sticking to them.
First use of the cast iron plate and wok
Before using the cast iron plate for the first time, wash it using water and dishwashing liquid, then dry it using a paper towel. Place the cast iron plate in the grill in place of the grates. Heat the plancha to burn off bacteria. Then coat the plate with oil. We use it like a cast iron pan. The properties of the cast iron plate will improve with use. The plate is not dishwasher safe!
Storing the cast iron plate and wok
When storing cast iron accessories, remember to oil them. If you will not be using the plate or wok for a longer period of time, store them in a dry place.
