Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is one of the most widely used thermoplastic materials. In the production of fittings for pressure systems, it is used in a non-plasticized form. It is a material very resistant to chemicals and very economical in use, i.e. having high values in relation to price. It is best connected using solvent adhesives.

ApplicationPVC-U fittings are suitable for use in irrigation systems, drinking water installations, chemical installations, sewage treatment plants, swimming pools, catering industry, etc. PVC-U pressure connectors can be used with PVC-U pipes made in accordance with the same international standards. PVC-U pipes are approved for the transmission of drinking water (PZH certificate), and the material does not affect the taste of water, which is a positive difference from, for example, steel pipes. The high smoothness of the inner surface reduces flow resistance and, consequently, lower energy consumption for pumping. Due to faster fluid transport, larger amounts of water can flow through PVC-U pipes than through pipes of the same diameter made of other materials. This property allows the use of pipes with smaller diameters, which provides engineers and architects with more space and freedom in their activities.

InstallationThe most popular method of connecting PVC-u fittings is gluing. This process is not complicated and does not require additional devices, such as for welded connections. For durable, tight and mechanically resistant gluing, it is necessary to use a cleaner that degreases and softens the PVC-U before gluing, and to be careful in its execution. Minimum gluing temperature is +5°C
