The design of this 6-frame hive allows bees to winter in it, the possibility of building up a food storage through a ½ body or a large body gives bees better chances of surviving in the winter, and the use of a roof improves the possibility of feeding bees without interfering with the nest. The lining also allows us to observe the condition of the hibernating colonies in the spring (by peeking into the spider's hole) without interfering with the nest,
