Description
Composter Tank with Tap 55L for Fertilizer, Liquid Manure, for Fertilizer ProductionA composter, tank for fertilizer, liquid manure is a special container design, which includes a barrel with a sieve that allows you to produce your own natural fertilizer. We fill the container with water, and add e.g. previously cut nettles to the sieve. In this way, after a few days we obtain natural fertilizer of our own production. We pour the fertilizer prepared in this way from the barrel using the tap. Thanks to the use of a sieve, cleaning the container is extremely simple, and thanks to the sieve, the tap does not get clogged when pouring the fertilizer. See for yourself how easily you can prepare fertilizer from nettle, dandelion, tansy or horsetail. The container, manufactured by the Polish company Prosperplast, is made of high-quality, durable plastic. Information on how to make the fertilizer is included under the product description. Nettle fertilizer, why is it worth it? Nettle is a very underestimated plant, which, if used well, can become a very valuable weed in our garden. It is rich in many nutrients, including calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, silicon, which have a great effect on our vegetables. And most importantly, such fertilizer is very easy to prepare yourself. Nettle fertilizer is an excellent ingredient for vegetables, fruits and flowers. It is especially popular with cucumbers and tomatoes.

How to make nettle fertilizer? To prepare it, collect nettles that have not yet bloomed, preferably young ones. Then we crush them and pour them into a plastic container (the best solution is a container with a sieve, such as in our offer. Check it out and see for yourself about its advantages), do not use metal containers. Then pour water into the container in a ratio of 1:10 (i.e. 1 kg of nettles, 10 liters of water), in the case of our container we recommend 5 kg of nettles and 50L of water. The prepared decoction should be set aside in a shaded place for 2 weeks. The container with the decoction should not be closed, it is best to cover it with a lid, possibly gauze or other material. It is recommended to stir it once a day. After two weeks of fermentation, the fertilizer is ready (a slightly unpleasant smell is natural). NOTE! Before using the fertilizer, it should be diluted in the same proportion as it was prepared, i.e. 1:10. Undiluted fertilizer can harm our plants.

What to make fertilizer, slurry from? What plants to use apart from nettle? The most well-known and often used natural fertilizer is nettle fertilizer. However, this is not the only plant from which we can prepare fertilizer. The decoction, which will then serve us as fertilizer for plants, can also be prepared from Horsetail, Dandelion, Tansy, Comfrey, Chamomile, Shepherd's purse, Chickweed, Black Elderberry and even healthy tomato leaves. Although they are little known, it is worth taking an interest in them, because they are highly valued in medicine and can help with many ailments. Horsetail and tansy decoction is prepared in the same way as nettle decoction, in proportions of 1:10 and set aside for 2 weeks. It should also be remembered to dilute in a proportion of 1:10.

Horsetail - is one of the oldest plants on earth, with a particularly good effect on the human body. It is particularly valued for its high silicon content. It also contains iron, manganese, potassium, calcium and phosphorus salts.

Tansy - is a plant that has traditionally been used for problems with the digestive system. Undiluted tansy decoction is used to combat ants in the garden, it is poured over ant paths and anthills. A diluted solution in a proportion of 1:15 is used as a spray for aphids (it is important to remember the waiting period and not to eat fruit or vegetables after spraying). Tansy can fight off many pests, insects, and ticks.

Dandelion - is rich in potassium and phosphorus, among other things. We can make a slurry from just the leaves or just the flowers, or from both the leaves and flowers. By making a decoction from the flowers and leaves of dandelion, we will obtain a slightly acidic reaction of the decoction, around 6 pH. Ideal for acid-loving plants.
