GRILLING BASKET WITH HANDLES PERFECTLY GRILLED MEAT AND VEGETABLES
The vessel is made of carbon steel, for which it is appreciated by chefs all over the world. The basket is dedicated to use on an open fire (grill, campfire). Temperature resistance is about 370 °C. The basket heats up very quickly and evenly, which allows you to prepare small ingredients in it, such as grilled vegetables, seafood or very delicate meats. The perforated bottom and sides ensure ideal circulation of hot air, guaranteeing an even degree of roasting and the penetration of smoky aromas. The metal handles can heat up, so you should use gloves to protect your hands from heat. The surface of the basket is very durable and you can use metal kitchen utensils on it. Before first use, the basket should be washed of the wax protective layer. A little warm water is enough to thoroughly wash the vessel. After washing, the basket should be wiped with a soft cloth or paper kitchen towel and left to dry. What if we wash the basket too hard, wiping off the protective layer that was previously created? Simply season it again.
Impregnating the pan.
Before impregnating the pan, it is recommended to turn on the kitchen ventilation or open a window to let in fresh air. Be careful when impregnating: high temperatures can cause burns.
1. Pour a small amount of vegetable oil into the pan, spreading it evenly over the entire surface of the pan.
2. Heat the pan until the oil starts to smoke. Remove the pan from the heat.
3. Wipe the pan with a paper towel. While wiping, you will notice that the pan has discoloured - this is a sign that a new layer of patina has formed on it, protecting it.
4. (To strengthen the patina layer, the oil burning process can be repeated).
5. Leave the pan to cool completely.
6. Wash the pan with warm water and a mild detergent.
7. Wipe the pan with a cloth or paper towel and leave to dry completely.
